Sometimes, inspiration comes from the smallest things. A familiar ingredient on the kitchen table. A child’s drawing. The colours of the Mediterranean. A childhood memory. Or simply the beauty of our planet.
At Her Name Is Rita, we believe clothing can be more than something we wear. It can express who we are, where we come from, what we love, and what makes us smile.
That is the idea behind our collection of T-shirts and shirts: simple everyday pieces, each with its own character, detail, and little story.

A Design That Means Something
We have always been drawn to things that tell stories. Just as an old kilim carries symbols and memories, or a handmade ceramic piece reflects the hands that shaped it, a T-shirt can carry a message too. Sometimes, one small illustration is enough.
Our Zeit and Zaatar T-shirt celebrates two familiar ingredients: olive oil and zaatar. They bring to mind Mediterranean and Middle Eastern tables, shared meals, traditions, and the comforting feeling of home. It is a little tribute to everyday rituals that stay with us.
Our Planet shirts, with their small Earth-inspired sign, bring another kind of meaning. A little symbol can remind us of the world we share, the places we love, and the beauty of the natural world. A simple detail can say a great deal. Other designs speak more quietly through fabric, colour, texture or a carefully chosen detail.
Not every story needs words or a bold drawing.

A Little Piece of Our Family — Sam’s Lion & Mar i Cel
Some pieces are especially close to our hearts because their stories begin at home.
Sam’s Lion began with an actual drawing by my eldest son. He has such a creative
imagination, and we wanted to celebrate that. We loved his lion precisely because it was his:
spontaneous, expressive, and full of a child’s personality. So we turned his artwork into a
T-shirt, keeping the charm of the original drawing.
Today, Sam’s Lion can be worn by adults and juniors. It is a reminder that creativity has no age, and that the most meaningful design might already be sitting on the family table, drawn on a sheet of paper. Then there is Mar i Cel, a T-shirt inspired by the name of my youngest son, Marsel. Another design with a personal connection, another little piece of family woven into the collection.
The name printed on the T-shirt is Mar i Cel; the name of the boy who inspired it is Marsel.
These pieces are not simply names and illustrations. They are parts of our family story that we are happy to share with yours.
The Beauty of Wearing Something Personal
We do not believe every piece of clothing has to follow a trend. Some days, all we want is a comfortable T-shirt, our favourite jeans, and the freedom to enjoy the day. But there is something lovely about reaching for a piece because its drawing makes us smile, its name means something to us, or its little sign sparks a thought.
Each design begins with its own inspiration. Then the person wearing it adds a new story.
Inspired by Everyday Life
Her Name Is Rita is inspired by different cultures, places, traditions and the small moments we notice along the way. Mediterranean flavours, the natural world, children’s imagination, and beautiful simplicity can all become part of what we create.
Inspiration need not be extraordinary. It might be waiting in the kitchen, growing in the garden, remembered from childhood, or appearing in a drawing.
Your Story Continues Ours
A T-shirt may begin with a design, but its real story starts when someone wears it: on a weekend walk, during a family holiday, over coffee with friends, or on an ordinary day that unexpectedly becomes a beautiful memory.
At Her Name Is Rita, we want pieces to be worn, loved, remembered, and made part of everyday life.
Because sometimes, a little story is all you need to make something simple feel special.
